The quadrotor is one of those ideas that just sounds obvious now that we've seen it. I've always been a fan of the V22 Osprey and I cannot imagine why helicopter design is still basically stuck in the same configuration as it was 60 years ago, especially given the number of fatal accidents military transports have.
